![]() ![]() What is 3D Printing?
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is basically a method of creating three dimensional shapes, graphics or other solid objects with the help of digital files. The formation of a three dimensional printed item is accomplished by utilizing additive procedures during which a particular object is made by laying down sequential coatings of solid material until required object takes a solid shape or form. Each one of those laid layers can easily be seen as finely carved straight cross-section of the ultimate entity. How Does Three Dimensional Printing Work?
![]() This is a step-by-step process and it all begins with a design. You need to create an object as the first step of the process and a virtual design of whatever you want will be made in a Computer Aided Design (CAD) file and for this 3D modeling software/program or a 3D scanner is used. 3D Scanner is used to acquire the shape of an original object which already exists and it puts the copy of that particular object into modeling system. Once the copying and modeling procedures are completed, the next step is the printing of the object for which, the final model is sliced in thousands of layers in horizontal shape. Once slicing is done, the final file gets uploaded into three dimensional printer which uses layers-by-layers strategy to create required object. Each slice or the two dimensional image is smartly read by the printer which later creates blending of object layers, but this all is done in such an amazing way that visibility of thousands of layers becomes impossible to notice and at the end this all is resulted into creating a 3D object. There are various steps in the process and each one of them has its own importance and therefore, the entire process is done very wisely. Final Words
